Halidom (preliminary fan translation was Hallow) is a type of equipment added to PC version of TERA in level 70 patch in March 2019. Halidom is very similar to other new equipment, Relic.

This type of equipment is given from level 66 quests. Halidoms come in two types, power or crit. Higher rarity Halidoms also give extra attack modifier and extra HP. Halidoms follow item rarity colors. Uncommon ones are green, rares blue and superior golden (yellow).

Like Relics, Halidoms do not follow the 2:1 crit:power ratio like most equipment does. Power versions are therefore more powerful. It's recommended to always use power versions and build crit with equipment that can be switched to crit with 2:1 ratio. (Unless you're a healer and don't need power.)

However, golden Halidoms and Relics pack most stats into the same piece of gear. If class requires extra crit (like sorc, berserker, slayer, ninja, lancer, warrior tank, archer), golden Halidom gives most for least loss of power stat.

For endgame:

  • Dagon's Halidom V = 56 crit
  • Karas's Halidom V = 31 power
  • Ishara's Halidom V = 19 power, 34 crit

Ishara's Halidom trades 12 power to 34 crit, which is better ration that any other gear gives. (Amarun's Relic V has even better ratio with 12 power to 40 crit, but Halidom has extra 7000 HP.)

Tier I uncommon (green) halidoms are monster drops. Also new high level Macellarius Catacombs gives them plenty. Do not waste gold upgrading green halidoms. Sell extra green ones for gold or feed them to pets to level it up.

Blue ones drop in Azart Hatchery or from Cerrus, or from Naslow's Treasure Maps (or equivalent). Also Partners sent on Adventures usually bring back few.

Superior Halidoms drop from hardest dungeons, or in Cerrus raid box when achieving 1st place or as random participant reward. Halidoms are occasionally available on Mystery Merchants for too high price not worth paying.

Superior Halidom is different from other types. There's only one version which gives both power and crit buff. (Ishara's Halidom I gives +4 power, +7 crit) It also gives 14285 HP, or double from blue Halidoms. Although power/crit mix is quite awkward, since some classes want pure power, and healers don't need it, extra 7000 HP is useful in some cases.

This equipment is upgraded by using other Halidoms of same type and tier. In example Zuras's Halidom I is upgraded with Zuras's Halidom I. Upgrade has probability of success, that is not shown. To upgrade Zuras's Halidom II you'll need second piece of Zuras's Halidom II that is consumed on attempt.

Only crit and power increases when Halidom is upgraded to higher tier. Attack modifier, HP and mana increase is not changed.

NA Enchant event has shown base success rate when upgrading tier II -> tier III is 15%. NA Emporium bonus affects this.

Experimenting has given similar results[1]

Tier I -> II 25.0%
Tier II -> III 15.2%
Tier II -> III 13.1%
Tier III -> IV 10.0%

If you do the maths and count cost of each upgrading attempt, getting tier IV golden halidom requires in average 5.5 million gold. Tier V however takes 50+ million.
