Wonderholme is a 10-man raid dungeon.
The dungeon was originally released in Autumn of 2013 for level 60 players. The patch was the second expansion to level 60 endgame content with new dungeons (CW, SF, Kezzel's Gorge) and total of five new gear sets. Wonderholme hard mode was the hardest dungeon of the patch.[1] WHHM dropped Wonderholme gear, which was 2nd best gear of the patch and materials for Nightforge gear.
Wonderholme was re-released as an level 65 event dungeon in June of 2016.[2]
Compared to current dungeons released, Wonderholme is simply huge. It has half dozen bosses, minibosses and puzzles. Early runs easily took anywhere between 45 minutes to hours.
The dungeon was referred to as "Magician's Fortress" in KTERA patchnote translations.
Lore[]
- Wonderholme is a mysterious castle that seems to have magically appeared out of thin air. Nobody knows how, why, or where it came from which has set researchers on a mission to discover its origins.
- The ruler of the castle, a disgusting caterpillar prince, started tampering with the new material, noctenium, which is how the strange rooms and creatures were wished into existence. The playerโs mission is to rescue the head researcher that has been kidnapped by the lonely prince which involves putting an end to the princeโs twisted nightmare.[3]
Wonderholme is not continuation of the main TERA storyline; Bluehole stated that Wonderholme was intended to be more amicable to newer and less dedicated players. There are no previous references to this lore before, and only rare references to it afterwards, so it's mostly forgotten. Manglemire makes reference to Wonderholme and Demonโs Wheel uses Bandersnatch as first boss.
